Biographie de Axel Karakasis

Axel Karakasis showed an interest in electronic music in a very young age. In late 80's, it began with Techno sound. Around that same time he started djing at small clubs in Athens. In 1995, he became the resident dj at Battery club and played Techno music. In 1996 at the Piraeus Iguana club, he launched Techno parties that had a very big success ! That very same year, team "bubbles" was created.

This led to the start of a large number of successful events at big clubs in Athens. In addition to djing at big clubs in Athens, Thessaloniki, Mykonos and all of Greece, and he has played in Europe in countries like Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland... He also played already at big party festivals like Globedance,
Sola Luna Festival, Music for a Film.

Axel has played Techno sets in all the major dance radio stations in Athens. In 2000, he met Marco Bailey and started his releases on Pornographic Recordings, the label of Marco Bailey (Belgium) and Cristian Varela (Spain). Now he continue to release his music on respected labels like MB Elektronics, Mb Selektions, Rhythm Convert.

After to many years of hard work in the studio, he started to run his own label, named Omega Audio Recordings, together with his partner for many years, Spiros Kaloumenos. At this moment Axel Karakasis is internationally recognized as the best known greek techno dj for his 3 decks sets and featuring rigorous musical selection that portrays his style.
