Partager1993-2013. This year PollerWiesen is celebrating it's 20th Birthday. We can look back on a past in which electronic music not only has found it's place in the middle of the society but also the ways in which people interact and communicate has been a subject of great change in the last 20 years.
Exactly 20 years ago PollerWiesen started as an illegal Open-Air Party with a completely new style of Music and a completely new way of promoting an event. Only by mouth-to-mouth, the message spread throughout the clubs, bars and after-hour parties around Cologne. People were talking about one thing : "There's going to be an Open-Air party this sunday". Where and when - Nobody was really aware of that until short before. The founders of PollerWiesen brought Techno out of dark Basement Clubs into the Sunshine. And that's how it all started 20 years ago on a sunday afternoon near Cologne.
Nowadays the PollerWiesen turned into an open-air event with the highest standards in communication, production and security. But there's one thing that PollerWiesen always kept throughout the years and that is its authenticity. PollerWiesen is a main part of the Techno-Scene in Germany and has accompanied some of the key players of electronic music on their way. The community is the main focus and that's why every Dancer, Employee, dj or media partner is considered a friend to the PollerWiesen.
For the start of the 20th Anniversary, PollerWiesen will celebrate with the following line-up in Cologne's Jugendpark :

Attention : Because the organizers of the PollerWiesen want to start the Season in 2013 in Cologne for sure, there are 5 dates reserved for the Opening. So, if the 21st of April does not take place due to bad weather, one of the next Sundays or Bank Holidays will take place. Like every year the PollerWiesen only happens in good weather !
