PartagerOn Saturday, September 21st, the whole retro scene will unite for a very, very special B-day... as legendary Dj. Phi-Phi turns 50. Phi Phi started playing as early as 1985. Almost 10 years later he started his first residency in At The Villa in Kooigem where he stayed for almost 7 years. In 1993, Phi Phi started a new residency at the legendary Boccaccio in Destelbergen where he played every Sunday - and later on every Monday night.
Shortly after the closing of Boccaccio, Phi Phi moved to the Cirao in Waregem and then the legendary Extreme club in Affligem where he played with artists as John Digweed, Paul Van Dyk, Danny Howells and many, many more. It is there that he created the infamous Monday-nights in Extreme from 1994 till the closing in 2001. The concept is still heavily on the mind of all progressive trance lovers.
Phi Phi is one of the firugeheads of the trance scene in Belgium and was resident at all the leadings clubs during the glory days. He still has a wide and huge fan base and also all the artists that crossed his path and became friends over the years, will join him on this important milestone in his life. This will be the ultimate reunion for the fans of timeless trance and progressive music.
The line-up is headed by Airwave Live. With over 500 productions to his name, he hardly needs an introduction. Next up is Dave Swayze from Diki Records and Franky Jones who played with Phi Phi at Carat and Extreme.
Also Marko from La Rocca is present as well as former Extreme residents Quincy, Ben and Cosmo. Add to that CP from Bedrock Records and you know the house will be on fire all night long !
