Ever since the closing in September, the Pollerwiesen friends have been eagerly awaiting the end of the winter while their legs have been itching to dance in the sun again. Even after 21 years of organizing parties, Pollerwiesen remains the absolute, favorite party concept of the area. The party has now reached adulthood but it is still our little baby. And that's why this year's motto is rightfully : foreveryoung ! Pollerwiesen's techno-open-air-party-play-time will kick off on April 20th, as always on a Sunday and in good tradition in the Jugendpark in Koln.
With three alternative dates Pollerwiesen wants to make sure that their whole community is guaranteed an Opening on May 4th at the very latest. Because nobody can predict on which date the weather gods will be in a great mood for a perfect open-air day. As most people know by now, Pollerwiesen only takes place on sunny days. And no worries, which ever date it will be, Pollerwiesen has prepared and will present a line-up of the highest order on each occasion.
First big headliner is Ricardo Villalobos who will once again take his spot on one of his favorite stages : a dj who is at the top of all the biggest line-ups and in the hearts of so many people. This Chilean - German superstar is also at his very best on open air events. His percussion driven sound will guarantee a complete summer feeling, even though it will only be spring !
The two next guests are hailed from Sweden with Adam Beyer and Ida Engberg. Adam Beyer managed to put the cold north and his hometown Stockholm on the worldwide map of electronic music with amongst other his phenomenal Drumcode label. We can only imagine what this techno hero will do to the enthusiastic crowd of Pollerwiesen.
Everybody's favorite Swedish lady, Ida Engberg, is Pollerwiesen's second wild card from Sweden. We are sure both will bring you the finest sets that are sure to make you sweat !
And also Matthias Tanzman could be present. Born in Leipzig, he is one of the residents of the more than legendary Circoloco parties in DC-10 in Ibiza and knows how to push the world of Deep and Tech House further and further like no other DJ can. And that's why he is celebrated as an icon in the genre all over the world.
Our next magic workers are the Berlin duo Pan-Pot. They always know how to win the crowd for them in no time with their minimal orientated kicks. The joy that Pan-Pot has for musical innovation is legendary. Because everything they do between house and techno and whatever in between, they do it for the euphoria on the dance-floor.
The home-town of our next hero has a name that sounds like thunder : Detroit ! Stacey Pullen is one of the most innovative producers of the second Detroit Techno-generation. He has been playing on the biggest festivals and events all over the world, week after week and this for many years. We are very happy to welcome him to the Pollerwiesen stage for the first time : a living legend you can re-discover time after time.
Niconé's name finally is synonymous with Fashion & Music. The casual House of these Berliners and matadors for Rheinrhythmik, completes the starters field of this new season : foreveryoung indeed !
The true community knows this already since a long time : whichever date it will be and whoever will be on the line-up in the end, that all doesn't matter. What matters is that the Pollerwiesen Opening is a must, a truly outstanding experience and the line-up will be killer !
