New addition to the line-up of Silo's Easter edition ! Next to the earlier announced names Dixon (the number one dj of 2013 according to Resident Advisor) and Lake People Live, also Frankey & Sandrino will be present on this Silo Easter party. Frankey & Sandrino is the latest act signed to Dixons Innervisions collective (a label that has been voted in the Top 3 of Best Label for 2 years in a row !). Their first release "Save" is just out as part of the 50th release on Innervisions. Also just out is a new track by Dixon and Guy Gerber with a killer remix by Lake People. In good tradition, Silo will be celebrating Easter again with a fabulous party. After an amazing first stop at the Wild Gallery in Brussels, just before New Year, they decided to also touch down in this post industrial building with lots of character for this holiday. The Wild Gallery was built in 1902 in true "art deco" style and is completely white so you can let your imagination run wild. As such, it fits completely in the Silo style and atmosphere.
For this Easter edition, Silo has chosen resolutely for house but Silo fans know that they have never been known for putting genres in a box and that they usually book artists who like to color outside of the boxes and that won't be different this time.
Main act is Dixon, who was proclaimed Best DJ of 2013 by the renowned Resident Advisor platform - the worldwide reference with regards to electronic music. He started his career as a club dj. in the nineties and later extended his talents to a wider public with compilations for Get Physical, Resident Advisor and the famous Robert Jonson club in Frankfurt. He also worked closely with Jazzanova and their superb Sonar Kollektiv label. In 2005 he took things a step further and started the Innervisions label and collective with Âme. Their aim was to keep the house tradition alive and take it to the next level. And that's exactly what they did. With over 50 releases to it's name, Innervisions is one of the most respected houselabels of the last couple of years. For Silo, Dixon will be doing what he loves most and that's playing an extra long set. Prepare yourselves for the best dj. of the moment !
The second act will be a live-act with Lake People. He might not be that well known with the big public yet but another one of Silo's strong points is that they spot talent long before they become big stars. An appropriate example : they also booked Dixon long before he became the best one on earth. Lake People started as a solo project in 2009 when Martin Eke moved to Leipzig and unleashed his first records upon the world the year after. Last year three, truly outstanding EP's saw the light of day. The first "Uneasy Hiding Places" on Permanent Vacation and then the two parts of the "Step Over EP's" on Connaisseur Recordings. They made sure that both his bookings and remix demands shot through the roof and you can now find him in all the coolest clubs as Watergate, Trouw, Rex, ... And after successful remixes for names as Avatism, Nicolaj and Akra, he now has some in the pipe-line for Dixon, Guy Gerber and Lee Burton. His live is a colorful mix of techno, minimal, house, funk, pop and electronica in which he completely surrenders himself to the music.
Silo resident Coeur will use his experience to completely fit in with the internationals for a real Silo evening with that special Silo atmosphere that you can't find anywhere else.
