Collaborations between bunkTEK and Silo are always a perfect match as previous editions have proven. In 2011 they joined forces for the first time on the former military domain of Glabbeek and they hailed one of the biggest techno-stars in the world to the village with Sven Väth. The following year they invited him again, this time in Tour & Taxis in Brussels and accompanied by the new heroes in techno, Marcel Dettman en Ben Klock. They touched down in Tour & Taxis again earlier this year, with that other techno monument, Jeff Mills and Luke Slater.
Now they are gearing up for their latest joint-venture in Glabbeek and again, they present only the absolute world-top in dj's. No less than 3 roaring, international dj's will take over the stage.
First of all, Dixon, who was proclaimed "Best DJ of 2013" by the renowned Resident Advisor platform - thé worldwide reference with regards to electronic music. He started his career as a club dj. in the nineties and later extended his talents to a wider public with compilations for Get Physical, Resident Advisor and the famous Robert Jonson club in Frankfurt. He also worked closely with Jazzanova and their superb Sonar Kollektiv label. In 2005 he took things a step further and started the Innervisions label and collective with Âme. Their aim was to keep the house tradition alive and take it to the next level. And that's exactly what they did. With over 50 releases to its name, Innervisions is one of the most respected house-labels of the last couple of years.
The second guest, Seth Troxler also held the titel of "Best DJ". He climbed from the 3rd to the second and then the 1st place in 2012 in the Resident Advisor Top 100. He grew up in Detroit and learned first handed about contemporary electronic music in the record shop "Melodies and Memories". With his label Visionquest (which he runs with Ryan Crosson, Shaun Reeves and Lee Curtiss) he soon conquered the whole world. Other productions on labels as Crosstown Rebels, Wagon Repair, M-Nus... consolidated his status. He's also very active on the remix front and reworked tracks from artists as Nicolas Jaar, David Lynch and Mathhew Dear to name but a few. He's a welcome guest at all leading events from Circo Loco in Ibiza and Fabric in London to the Detroit Music Festival and Burning Man in the States. Next to that, his humor and outspoken visions create a lot of debate in the dance-world and on the social media. He doesn't play in Belgium that often so this will be a not-to-be-missed opportunity.
Third, big international guest is Agoria from France. He released his debut album "Blossom" in 2003 on Pias and also he can count on worldwide recognition ever since. He continued his output with three more albums, one of which is the soundtrack to the movie "Go Fast". His latest album "Impermanence" came out in 2011 on Infiné, the label he runs himself. He also mixed several compilations for Fabric, Resident Advisor and the French Tsugi Magazine. More recently there were the releases on Dixon's Innervisions label and the rapidly growing Berlin imprint Life & Death.
With such an overwhelming line-up, it's sure that the roof will be blown of the tent on Friday July 25th. On top of that, the organization offers optimal comfort with a completely transformed in- en outdoor party area where the people will be able to enjoy beats and lots more from 20h00 till 5h00. Think beach, palm trees, cocktail bars... with first class light- and sound-systems. All in good bunkTEK and Silo tradition !
