Luckily this year's winter-stop for all PollerWiesen friends didn't last too long as the PollerWiesen WinterCruise offered an indoor alternative to escape the post summer party boredom. After the last PollerWiesen open air in august 2014, we can now start to look forward to dancing in the sun again with the PollerWiesen Opening on April 19th in the Jugendpark in Cologne. Under the motto "New Generation" for 2015, we start a completely new chapter in PollerWiesen's long history. We can't wait !
Because we never know when the weather gods will shine favorably upon us, the PollerWiesen team has again selected four dates so you can rest assured that the festivities will take place on May 10th at the latest, hopefully under the best conditions and with the sunshine beaming on our heads. At the beginning of the meteorological spring, we can now announce the first contracted dj's. And who doesn't instantly start to smile when hearing the following names ?
How about the two figureheads from Berlins Berghain club for example : Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock. The internationally celebrated ambassadors of a sound that not only outlines Berlin's techno history of the last decennia perfectly but has also made the city into the Mecca of the worldwide party community. A hint of techno never hurt Cologne, on the contrary as the Dom city is itself a stronghold for electronic sounds.
PollerWiesen also imports a true pioneer from Spain with Maceo Plex. His yearlong experience and unique sense for the sound of the moment have made him a unique artist. He helped shape the club-sounds of recent years with his outstanding remixes and productions, bringing us a tech house sound filled with the purest emotions.
And also the Grand Dame of the techno and house scene Nina Kraviz could possibly deliver fireworks at the next PollerWiesen. With her uncompromising productions and dj-sets, she has created quite some havoc in the party world in recent years. She proved impressively that she is an outstanding dj with the right attitude : whether it's techno, Chicago house or acid - Nina plays it all like the best !
Mathias Kaden from the Freude Am Tanzen family in Jena is no stranger to PollerWiesen. An exceptional talent and a loved guest in Cologne, he knows how to get even the most restrained dancers off their buds and onto the dance-floor with his energetic sets. There is hardly any dj who masters the trade as well as Mathias Kaden : he always brings a relentless groove with lots of percussion elements and real vinyl-dj skills !
Next to the previously listed artists, we also have the (almost) local heroes of Andhim on the program for the PollerWiesen Opening 2015. This duo, of which half is originally from Cologne, is now travelling the world. With a serious amount of humor, defining productions and whipping dj-talent, also they will undoubtedly mesmerize the Jugendpark.
In the next few weeks, more dj's and live-acts for this year will be revealed. But the true PollerWiesen Community already knows that it doesn't matter on which date the event will take place nor which dj's will finally make it to the stage : the Pollerwiesen Opening is absolutely not to be missed and the line-up will be amazing no matter who it will play !
