Peep continues its quest for Positive & Exceptional Electronic Pleasures. This time we sail out on our own again and are set on hosting a night of epic proportions. We are delighted to invite two experts in the international field of house music. They rarely come to Belgium so we are pretty excited to welcome them.
Our main guest is Mr Scuba. He is the founder of the influential and consistently high quality Hotflush Recordings label, launching the careers of innovators as diverse as Mount Kimbie, George FitzGerald and Sepalcure. He himself produced three artist albums to great critical acclaim and his fourth ‘Claustrophobia' is coming out just before his appearance on Peep. 3 singles have already hit the scene and have been hailed by press and public alike. The release is supported with a big tour including only the best venues as Fabric (London), The Warehouse (Leeds), Berghain (Berlin), Bloc Weekend (UK), Nitsa (Barcelona), Concrete (Paris) and Peep ! With recent, notable releases from Recondite and Locked Groove on Hotflush, the future looks as diverse and exciting as always. Scuba's own recent output is at once melodic and musical and his big room House sound is sure to devastate the dancefloor.
He'll be supported by Bicep. Their Feel My Bicep blog is the go-to place for tastemakers world-wide in search of lost and forgotten electronic gems. Production wise, they recently dropped FMB004 on their own vinyl-only label after the huge success of earlier releases, including ‘Vision of Love' and ‘Satisfy' as well as consistently releasing on Will Saul's Aus Music. They have hosted their own Feel My Bicep Events in places such as : London's Fabric, Panorama Bar in Berlin, Trouw Amsterdam and many other high profile events. Last year saw them complete another residency at WeLove in Space Ibiza and festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, Dekmantel as well as come in at no. 28 in the Resident Advisor Top 100. Bicep's signature is a mix of forgotten disco, Chicago house, Italo edits & everything that sounds House in-between.
Next to the international guests, we welcome night owl by excellence Pete Howl, known from his residency at Decadance where he also runs several great nights bringing the Ghent crowd great names as Nina Kraviz, Radio Slave, Jamie Jones, Marc Houle, Pan-Pot and Gregor Tresher to name but a few.
He will be joined by up and rising star Bafana, who is making waves with the ultra hot Alpha concept and Kerk. He also plays at numerous other events.
Our resident Spacid completes the line-up and will be showing us what his love for house is all about.
We combine the best talents from our own backyard with the hottest names in the worldwide house scene at this moment for another fine experience in our beloved and beautiful Vooruit venue. Come and join us if you like positive and exceptional electronic pleasures too !
