Yves Deruyter is celebrating his 30 years as a dj this year and he's doing it in one of the best clubs of Belgium : La Rocca. On Saturday, 23 May 2015 he will be the host of a very special party : in honour of this great milestone, he's inviting 30 dj's who have crossed his path and/or touched his heart over the past 30 years. They will all be playing a 30 minute set for him. On top of that, he will be giving away 30 CD's and 30 free tickets and off course, also 30 big kisses. That this will be a party to be remembered, is already a fact now !
Yves Deruyter started his dj career in 1985 and played in almost all famous Belgian clubs such as Globe, Barocci, Cherrymoon, Extreme, Carat, BBC, La Rocca and many more. In 1991 he started producing and his first single "Animals", released on Bonzai Records, became a big club hit in Europe.
Yves' second single "Rave City" made a leap into the German market and became a big success with more than 50.000 units sold. The follow up "Calling Earth" topped 70.000 units. Then the track "The Rebel" caused his big international breakthrough, followed by "The House of House", "In My Electric House" (Cherrymoon Trax) and many more. Also Yves' awesome cover of Underworlds classic "Born Slippy" continues to be a hugely memorable track.
As a very hard working dj, Yves Deruyter regularly travels Europe where he is in high demand for his great DJ'ing skills. As a born entertainer, his vision of his future in music is and will always be : "Making music for the people". The release of his Electro House oriented debut on Pig Room Trax, named Desert Storm, is awaited with much anticipation. With even more new material on the way, Yves will be working on new solo tracks as well as cool fresh collaborations.
With a lot of gusto Yves starts the next 30 years of his career. But first, party time to celebrate the first 30 years of his outstanding career. Not many have followed his example !
