The collaborations between bunkTEK and Silo have always been a match made in heaven. They joined forces for the first time in 2011 and all their joint-ventures since then proved that there are no better partners than them.

On Friday, August 7th, they return to the quiet village of Glabbeek in Flemish Brabant. A gorgeous setting is the decor of an evening and night which will lead you from disco and funk through the different shades of house and techno. Immerse yourself in the history, present and future of electronic dance music from 19:00 till 05:00.

Two Detroit legends will descend upon the rural plains : Moodymann and Robert Hood in the form of Floorplan. Not only the past but also the future will be present and that's why Silo has invited the young British artist Leon Vynehall, one of the most promising producer / dj's from the current scene. The national colors will be represented by two talents from Brussels namely Walrus & Handless Dj.

Moodymann aka Kenny Dixon Jr. is a bit of a mystery but to see and hear the man perform is always a treat. Some of his most well known gems are "Sunday Morning", "Shades of Jae" and his remix of Innerzone Orchestra's "People make the world go round". You can find his best work on the "Silentintroduction" compilation, one of the most revered albums of the end of the nineties. In 2014 Moodymann returns with an album of the same name and proves that, even after 20 years, he is still one of the most important house producers around. If not, the most important one ever !

Robert Hood is synonymous with minimal Detroit techno and an emphasis on soul and experiment. Together with Jeff Mills and Mike Banks he created Underground Resistance. UR forms the basis of the modern face of Detroit techno and still influences it today. Floorplan is Robert's alter-ego which focuses on frivolous and exuberant house music with a dash of gospel. His debut album as Floorplan, "Paradise", was proclaimed best album of 2013 and also brought forth an instant classic, "Never Grow Old".

In good tradition, there's also attention to extremely promising new talent this year. Leon Vynehall released tracks on George Fitzgerald's ManMakeMusic, Will Saul's AUS label and the Dutch Clone Royal Oak. He perfectly knows how to intertwine the atmosphere of disco during the seventies and the golden years of hip hop with house music and is quickly asked by a lot of leading promoters as the Berlin Panoramabar, Dekmantel from Amsterdam and London's Field Day to name just a few. His first album "Music for the Uninvited" appeared last year on Martyn's 3024 label and it went straight into Pitchfork's list of best albums of 2014. This guy is going to be huge, just like many other artists who were booked by Silo in the past. Be one of the first to see him at work and tell all your friends later.

Walrus and Handless Dj complete the line up. Together with Pierre and Kid Strike, they are the driving forces behind "Beyond" which, amongst others, strikes down in Fuse on a two monthly basis. The idea behind "Beyond" is to highlight the other side of clubbing, rooting inspiration from the legends of the past to the most exciting acts of today. Integrity, avant garde and expectations are the key words and they sound like music to our ears. Music that transcends genre boundaries, evolving on the edge of 30 years of electronic knowledge and as such, perfectly fits this bill.

Picture yourself out in the middle of nowhere. Suddenly, next to the military domain where bunkTEK originated from, a cosy in & outdoor area has been constructed. Pull out those shoes and feel the sand slide by your toes and let the trip begin...
