On September 6th we meet again : the Blaue Lagune Open Air festival really has everything that demanding festival visitors can dream of. First of all, it's situated on a sand beach over a kilometer long by an idyllic lake so pure that you can drink the water. Secondly, it attracts a large public of true techno-lovers who are all more than willing to let it all go. And thirdly and most importantly, the one and only godfather of the techno scene, Sven Väth, will be present and play an extra long techno set.
After ten successful editions of Blaue See Open Air in Ratingen, Sven Väth will now change the small place of Wachtendonk near the Dutch border into the Mecca for the techno community and this with an ever changing line-up of likeminded artists. Last year was the premiere and already then standards were set high.
Now the time is right to up them even more : this year all friends of electronic dance music can look forward to a special line-up on not one but two stages.
First big name in the worldwide dj-circuit is Nina Kraviz. Constantly present on stages and dj-charts the world over since a few years, she will also bring one of her celebrated sets to Blaue Lagune. Charming, skilled and full of energy : a real big lady of techno !
In between Sven and Nina, Gaiser will treat us to one of his amazing live-sets. This exceptional Minus Records artist feels at home on any stage and his irresistible sets make any dance lover push his or her physical boundaries.
The program on the main stage is extended with a rising star from the Cocoon family : Dana Ruh. Her first releases are now shining brightly in many record stores. Next to her also Mitch, owner of Ki Records who will be warming up the main floor.
And then up to floor 2... Gathering of another part of the Cocoon family !
Absolute headliners here are Ilario Alicante and Christian Burkhardt. The first one made his debut on Time Warp at the age of 16 and can already look back on a breathtaking career : releases on Cocoon, his own club in Ibiza and numerous gigs all over the world. What more can you hope for ? To bring the Blaue Lagune in total extacy maybe...
Christian Burkhardt is another grand master : next to being a top producer, he's also always on top of his game on stage. He had lots of extremely successful releases which can still be heard on almost any dance-floor. It is fair to say that you can expect a lot from his live performance !
The roots of Dorian Paic are also to be found in the Cocoon school. Dorian is involved in numerous projects from the legendary Dorian Gray Club to Robert Johnson in Offenbach. Sven Väth often chooses him as openings-dj for Cocoon events and that's why he could not be missed on this Blaue Lagune Open Air festival !
According to residentadvisor.net, Einzelkind doesn't feel the need to give a lot of biographical info and there's a good reason for that : he prefers to let the music speak for itself. When we look at his La Perla label we know why, as it consistently brings us glorious moments of happiness.
