It is with great pride that Silo brings a Klockworks label night to their fans on September 11th. Especially when there are only a handful of label-nights a year as Klockworks owner, Ben Klock, is extremely strict in his selection. Silo will now join Village Underground (London), Off Sonar (Barcelona), Berghain (Berlin) and a soon to be revealed club in New York as unique showcases in this half of 2015.
The link between Ben Klock and Silo is obviously not new because Silo, as is often the case, spotted Ben's unusual talent as one of the first organizations in Belgium. In the meantime Ben has become one of the figureheads of the current techno-scene. Not only through his residency in the world's most adored techno-temple Berghain in Berlin and its Ostgut Ton label annex bookings-agency but also through his own Klockworks imprint.
Started in 2006 as an outlet for Ben Klocks own tracks, Klockworks quickly developed into one of the most trendsetting techno labels in the world. Quality was always more important than quantity and each and every single track released on it, is a true masterpiece. Ben later also opened up the label to offer other outstanding talents as DVS1, ROD, Trevino and Etapp Kyle a platform. This immediately resulted in a well deserved, international breakthrough for all concerned artists.
Etapp Kyle or Sergey Kushnir is a multi-talented Ukrainian with a hypnotic groove on one hand and a sound which ordinarily can only be found on Ostgut Ton on the other hand. He is being pushed forward by Richie Hawtin on his experimental Enter.Mind events on Ibiza and often asked by Ben Klock to fill the Klockworks label-nights between just the two of them.
The amazing visual artist Heleen Blanken is the VJ of choice on all Klockworks label nights. Next to that, she held a residency at TROUW, recently cooperated with Jeff Mills on his "Space Time Continuum" video, as with Rodhad. Her visual work can also be seen at defining festivals as Pitch, Weather festival, Awakenings, STRP Festival...
Etapp Kyle & Ben Klock will be behind the decks the whole night and will tell a beautiful, jointly orchestrated techno story. Be part of it and dance the night away with them in Silo's newest haven, La Raffinerie in Brussels, a mythical location which is now also getting an electronic history and where Silo is returning to its intimate and underground atmosphere of the original Silo club.
