Star Warz remains a mighty force in the national and international Drum'n'bass world. After hosting a party with the revered Outlook Festival from Croatia and hosting a stage on the illustrious Tomorrowland festival, they now return to their home-base where they have welcomed almost all leading Drum'n'bass labels in the world : from Metalheadz to RAM, from Virus to Critical Music and countless others. There were only two giants that have never been over yet so it was high time to get them to come down to the Star Warz dome in Ghent, the beautiful Vooruit venue. Star Warz presents Dj Marky's Innerground Records vs Klute's Commercial Suicide label on October 1st !

Innerground Records are purveyors of fine Drum'n'bass since 2003 ! The label is the brainchild of world-renowned Brazilian dj and producer, Dj Marky. After exploding onto the global music scene, Dj Marky and friend XRS started Innerground Records with one idea in mind - release exciting and forward-thinking Drum'n'bass from every corner of the world. Fast forward to now and they are doing exactly what they set out to do. They've had incredible releases from high-profile stalwarts and up-and-comers alike including Calibre, Total Science, Logistics, Random Movement, S.P.Y and many more. The game may have changed since they started, but their ethos has not. They continue to scout around and look for the absolute best in Drum'n'bass music produced by talented individuals.
Commercial Suicide is the world famous Drum'n'bass label owned by Tom Withers aka Klute. It is a really good label that served as a mentor to many, mostly by showing others exactly how not to do things. It was started in 2001 after Klute found absolutely no other label remotely interested in releasing his own music. Since then Klute has conned many people into releasing music on the label. Many of which have gone on to be really famous such as ; Fleetwood Mac, Amit, the Kooks, SKC, Hive, Calibre, John Tejada, Concord Dawn, Total Science, Break, Silent Witness, Mindscape, Nymfo, James Cake, Digital, The Spirit... the list is endless. Commercial Suicide has no sound and no direction. It serves no claim to "dominate", "take over" or "run things". It is here with the sole intention of releasing music that Klute sees fit.
And now both label-headz are coming down to Star Warz to present the best their labels have to offer. Starting off course with themselves

In a career that spans over two decades, Dj Marky has gone from an avid record collector and music enthusiast in his native Brazil to an internationally revered Dj and producer, owner of Innerground Records and an event series called Dj Marky & friends. From igniting dancefloors across the globe to producing some of the most seminal Drum'n'bass tracks to date, he continues to amass an unsurpassable list of achievements, all driven by his dedication and unique flair. He is widely regarded to be technically one of the top Djs in Drum'n'bass. Retaining the same passion for music as the day that it all started, Dj Marky stays at the forefront of not just the Drum'n'bass scene but also the music world at large.

Klute began sometime in the mid nineties as an exclusive name for Certificate 18 Records and produced 2 fine albums for them before receiving help in the community from Sir Alan Sugar to start Commercial Suicide. Since 2001 Klute has steered Commercial Suicide into releasing over 50 12" singles and 7 albums, mostly by himself but countless others too as Amit, SKC, Nymfo, Break, Chris SU, Hive, Mindscape, Trei, Dose, The Upbeats, Ill Skillz.... As well as releasing on his own label, Klute has released on many of the most prestigious labels in the world, such as Metalheadz, R : Soul, Hospital, 31 Records, Shogun Audio, Certificate 18... He has also collaborated with many studio luminaries as Lamb, Mogwai, Bis, Natasha Atlas, Harold Budd, Concord Dawn, John Tejada and loads of really sexy women too.

Dutch producer Nymfo is a true dj at heart with many years experience, has established a strong presence in the Drum'n'bass scene with his widely recognized skills in the studio as well as on the decks. Standout singles for Commercial Suicide, Metalheadz and Dispatch, and further material for RAM and Critical, have made his name synonymous with tough, techno-tinged dance-floor tracks. Nymfo, always one to push his sound and profile further within the genre, released his debut album "Characters" on Commercial Suicide to much critical acclaim.

Jason Greenhalgh (Q-Project) and Paul Smith (Spinback) launched the Computer Integrated Audio (C.I.A) label in 1997 and the alias Total Science was born. Over the coming years, Total Science had releases on all the major D&B labels including Metalheadz, Good Looking, Moving Shadow, Hospital, Tru Playaz, 31 Records, Reinforced, Soul : r, Shogun Audio to name but a few, as well as releases under their own C.I.A. and various other imprints. They have release 4 albums, however, the actual number of singles and EP's the pair have released is currently an unknown quantity. Their relentless yearning to create music denotes there are just too many to mention ! As its CIA's 20th birthday this year, they have released a Various Artists album featuring amongst others long time players Calibre, Break, S.P.Y., Digital & Spirit. Collaborations are also in the works or out with Mako, DLR, Digital & Spirit, Kaiju and Onemind.

Artificial Intelligence is back on top of the Drum'n'bass B game. The renowned production outfit behind the legendary "Desperado" track : recipient of Radio 1's esteemed accolade : Number 1 Drum'n'bass Tune of The Year in 2006 and one of the greatest Drum 'n' B tracks of all-time. For more than a decade the passionate pair have been studiously building upon their unique signature vibes cementing their position in the book of Drum'n'bass with legendary tunes such as "Uprising", "Bloodlines", "Days Of Rage", "Three's A Crowd" and of course Stand Alone, their exceptional debut artist album for V Recordings from 2010. Their discography extends to all of the industry's most established imprints : Metalheadz, Full Cycle, Good Looking, C.I.A., Innerground, Exit plus numerous heavyweight remix projects from Eric Prydz to Kelis and of course their own Integral Records platform.
One87, Star Warz resident, played over a thousand national & international dj sets, on all kinds of events, alongside most of the great names in Drum'n'bass today.
Highlights include sets at Metalheadz @ Fabric and Cable in London, Shogun Audio @ Cable in London, Pukkelpop and Tomorrowland in Belgium, USA and Brasil. MC Mush is his MC of choice because he's always careful to complement and never overpower the music.
Coming from Bruges, Larigold developed a strong passion for music at a very young age. After more than a decade of experience behind the decks as Z-NOX, and playing at Belgium's finest Drum'n'bass events (Hospitality, Tomorrowland, Laundry Day, Star Warz...) he started this new alias for producing and focusing on funky, liquid, soulful drum&bass music. With tracks signed on labels like Sheer Velocity Recordings, Soul-Deep Recordings, Ambra Recordings, Chillax Trax... and supported by artists like LTJ Bukem, Grooverider, Bailey, SoulTec, Murdock... Larigold is determined to push his soulful sound forward, always ready to deliver a quality dj set, carefully selected with that unique blend of rolling beats, deep bass lines and plenty of rhythm and funk.
Cedex & Higher Underground earned early merits with their own events where they invited big names as Pendulum, Wilkinson, Noisia and Sigma. Since Cedex and Higher Underground joined forces, they became unstoppable behind the decks. Expect an explosive mix of Drum'n'bass in every way possible. They are a dynamic duo that knows how to please a crowd which led them to the stage of Tomorrowland, Solar Festival and Star Warz. Also clubs as Café d'Anvers, Decadance and Vooruit have received banging sets of these two. Cedex & Higher Underground also started producing their own tracks. So you can also expect some new and personal material in their party set !

Deep perception, meaningful lyrics and real love for the music, perfectly summarize what MC Mush is all about. Focusing on quality control has always been his main drive.
By lending his voice and rhymes out too various dj's and party concepts for over a decade, MC Mush has steadily been making name for himself with underground ravers and the Drum'n'bass public, both in Belgium and abroad. Tomorrowland, Steam and off course Star Warz are but a few of many concepts that Mush was able to grace with his rhymes.

MC LowQui is a genuine host, lyricist and audience entertainer. Regarded by many as a true dj's MC, his ability to read crowds, compliment mix structures and facilitate the transfer of energy between dj and audience is second to none. Now deep into his second decade as an MC, LowQui has continuously worked on a global scale as MC of choice for the best : the Metalheadz family, Goldie, S.P.Y, Andy C, Dj Marky, Black Sun Empire, Skream, Benga, Storm, the list goes on. LowQui breaks down the barrier between performer and attendee like no other. He is the quintessential DIY junglist. In the game for life, LowQui will be toasting microphones until the end of his days.
