Danjo

Danjo Raijer (13-09-1979) is a Dutch DJ / Producer from Leiden, who has been doing his thing on the turntables since 1994 and has been producing since 1997.

As a producer Danjo first did some tracks for compilation cd's together with the guys from Dance Nation (“Sunshine”, “Dance”) at Noculan Music.

In the summer of 1998 Danjo met Robbert Vroegindeweij (Rob Styles) at University and they soon found out that they shared the same musical interests. Because Rob was also busy making music, they decided to team up in the studio.

In the year 2000 this resulted in a contract with BPM Dance, where they worked together with artists like Katana, Signum and Mark Norman. At BPM Dance they released several tech-trance bombs (like "Witness" and "Anticipating"). "Danjo & Styles" was born...

In 2003 they signed to Armin van Buuren’s Armada Music, where they released their long awaited bomb "Aragon" on the well known Captivating Sounds imprint. The support for this track was enormous and their name started rising…

In the second half of 2003 Danjo & Styles got in touch with Yves Deruyter, who appreciated their work a lot. At his invitation they got in contact with Bonzai Music, re-born as Banshee Worx, where their new project "Primer" was given birth. The first "Primer"- release was a huge double header on the Progrez imprint, featuring the tracks "Indulge" and "The Silver Lining" and the follow up releases “Everlast” and their latest "Morgana / Skywalker" caused even more damage with those beautiful trance melodies combined with the hard-edge twist Danjo & Styles are known for!

In the beginning of 2004 they also hooked up with ID&T Music, who released “DJ Danjo & Rob Styles - Duende”, backed with a stunning Signum remix! This track was played by all the big trance jocks and is featured on more than thirteen compilation cd’s around the globe (including Sensation White 2004, Tiësto in Concert 2004, Mysteryland, etc.).

Due to the fact that Danjo & Styles are known for their characteristic sound, they have been asked to do a lot of remixes lately; for Tiësto’s "Adagio for Strings”, Activa’s "Release me”, Jones & Stephenson’s "The First Rebirth” and so on...

The DJ Danjo & Rob Styles / Primer productions have gained support from many of the world’s top DJ’s: Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Judge Jules, Ferry Corsten, Marco V, ATB, Johan Gielen, Markus Schulz, Blank & Jones, John "00" Flemming, M.I.K.E, Rank 1, Matt Darey, Lange, Signum, Misja Helsloot, Katana, Talla 2XLC, Fire, Cor Fijneman, Ton TB, George Acosta, Alex M.O.R.P.H, John Askew, Guy Ornadel, Jean and many others!

As well as skilled producers, Danjo & Styles are also excellent DJ’s – both individually, and as a team spinning side-by-side. With gigs from Malaysia to Germany and from Spain to Belgium (monthly residency in Club Illusion), Danjo & Styles play the sound they are known for: high-quality progressive trance “with bite” and behind the decks they create a fresh, original sound and a unique atmosphere.

In November 2003 Danjo & Styles started their own online radio show "Playground": a monthly two-hour live-mix filled with the finest tech, progressive and trance sounds. This popular show is broadcast by ETN FM, Radio Seven, CBA FM and True Radio. Furthermore they frequently do guest-mixes for Markus Schulz's Global DJ Broadcast and several other big stations around the globe.
