Alex Flatner

Alex FlatnerGrownup in Munich, Germany Alex Flatner soon discovered his passion for electronic music, being strongly influenced by electronic records in the early 90's, inspired by people like Klaus Schulze and others.

In 1996 time was ripe for his first DJ appearance at "Electric Delicate", presently one of the best and most famous techno clubs in Munich / Germany.
Soon he started releasing on major labels like Black Nation, Gekko (London) , Silver Planet (London) and Gayle San's label Equator (Uk) and the name Alex Flatner was in great demand.

Besides working on his producer-career he became a well-known know, spinning in countrys like Japan, India, Czech Republic, Poland, UK, France, Spain, Italy, Russia, Austria and Germany in clubs such as Tresor Berlin, Ultraschall and Electric Delicate Munich, Airport Würburg, Sternradio (No Ufos) Berlin, Poison Düsseldorf, Butan Club Wuppertal just to name a few.

Internationally he made himself appear to a broader public with his breakthrough remix of Corvin Dalek's "Pounds & Penz" – produced by Alex himself – on MFS.
“Pounds & Penz” was played more than 7 weeks on Pete Tong's BBC Radio One show, becoming Pete Tong's most played track on his show.

The track also appeared on the Mix Mag Compilation in April 2000 mixed by Timo Maas, on the Ministry of Sound Compilation "Tunes of the Year" and the MTV Compilation, which was also licensed to Convert Rec (UK), Warner Germany and by NEWS in Belgium.

Following his worldwide success, Alex remixed for artists and acts such as Blue Amazon (Lee Softley, James Reid) , R Factors (aka Dobre and Jamez), Dulux Connection, Krystal, Rouge, Karuma, Bernard Sumner (singer from New Order), AWeX, D.J. •The Single “This is Yabada” on Equator Records
•The Single “Rectus EP” and “Mak´n Moves EP” on Black Nation

After expecting his big success with the AWeX Remix "It's Our Future", Alex released another remix for Tom Wax "... and then it hit me" in March 2002 on Tom Wax's label "Phuture Wax".

But being this type of enthusiastic producer Alex Flatner is his big success motivated him to continue and even improve his skills. Consequently leading to a big amount of high quality music:

•The release of the project with Bernard Sumner (singer from New Order), which contains the original vocals from New Order´s track “Crystal”, (released on MFS).
