Allan Banford

Allan's unquenchable passion for electronic music, his astounding, innovative mixing skills and his irresistible track selection have carried him all over the world. Launching his dj career early on 1999, he played in a number of popular, dynamic venues both solo and alongside the likes of Dave Seaman and Nick Warren of Global Underground, Lee Burridge of Nuberred, between others. Allan then took up residency at the Pharmacy Club in London before making his second major international tour around Europe. Returning to England bursting with innovative ideas and rhythms, Allan focused on his career as a producer. He set up Ukeithel Studios in London and drew upon inspirations acquired from his travels to create a thrilling, unique new sound. From the onset, Allan's talents as a producer were palpable and his success has been inexorable. Bursting onto the producing scene with four chunky, flavoured techno tracks of finest quality in his 'Essential Elements' EP (released on Samuel Larson's label SLS), Allan attracted immediate international acclaim. This was closely followed by a succession of vinyl-pressed dancefloor hits, including Audiomagnetic EP (Unlimited Records, France), Gotapopepe Remix (Egotraxx, Hungary), Tron (G Force Records Formula Premier Series, Sweden), Animal Remix (Soul Pressure, Sweden), The Last Unicorn and Breakdance (Definitive Recordings, Canada), and John Acquavivas Hunter Gatherer Remixes by Allan Banford and Samuel L Sessions (G Force Records, Sweden). Above all, however, Allan is undoubtedly best known for his tremendous EP Best of British, released on Carl Coxs label Intec Records. Carl has shown unwavering support for Allans productions, and has promoted them at venues across the globe, awarded them top ten positions in his personal charts and included Allans Dont Go Too Long in his most recent CD Compilation. Allans tracks Capoeira (version) and Groove Charanga are also featured on Samuel L Sessions new CD Compilation Again on Monoid. Allan has also set up monthly residencies on the British Vybe 99.5 FM , the French Triangle 98.4 FM and the Italian/ Hungarian Dee Jay 92.9 FM. Having joined forces with the Finalscratch mastermind John Acquaviva, Allan represents one of the most distinguished live Finalscratch artists in England. Indeed, one of Allan's many qualities as a dj is his keenness to experiment with new technologies to make his live performances all the more innovative and exciting. Combining this technological experimentalism with infectious electo-tech beats, deep funky bass lines, crazy percussions and captivating electronic sounds, Allan Banford's sets are simply unforgettable. Having amazed electronic music fans across the globe with his remarkable dj and producing skills, Allan has now launched his own labels - Evolved Records and Evopro Recordings. Their principal aim is to thrust electronic music into a new era, developing intriguing but memorable combinations of electronic sounds that push the boundaries of musical production.
