Some people live, eat and breathe electronic music. Kev Obrien is undoubtedly one of those people. As an avid lover of dance music for nearly fifteen years, Kev has built his life around the music he loves, and has dedicated the better portion of it to throwing quality events, DJing and most recently producing.

In 2008, Kev relocated from Florida to New York, and hasn't looked back since. Nearly a decade of experience in the industry has equipped him with the tools and confidence to instantly make an impact in one of the toughest and most saturated scenes in the world. With a local and national gig-schedule that continues to increase, two radio shows (Proton and DI.fm), and now the rising popularity of his new 'Stranjjur NYC' event series (which focuses on breaking international talent into New York for the first time), the future for Kev Obrien and the Stranjjur brand should certainly be a bright one.

Kev also works part-time as a dance music journalist, contributing album and single reviews, as well as features and interviews for some of the world's most respected dance music outlets. His writings have been featured on Beatportal, 365Mag, Datatransmission, PulseRadio, DI Magazine and ProgressiveHouse.com, to name a few. His industry knowledge and experience has earned him a highly respected professional reputation within all facets of the industry, and it's this knowledge and understanding that helps increase his international popularity as an artist amongst music lovers, who have downloaded his podcasts and mixes over 150,000 times in 2009 thus far.

With a local, national and international schedule that has been quickly filling up, for Kev Obrien and Stranjjur, the future is now -- and the future looks very Stranjj, indeed.
