Nihil Young

Nihil Young (’87) is one of the most prolific and brilliant sound creators from the italian new school. Mainly techno and tech house oriented, but fascinated by melodies from the classics and italo-disco, in addition to the grooves and basslines of quality classic funk and electronic hip hop from the 70s and the 80s. His tracks and productions are being played by artists such as Len Faki, Pan-Pot, Format:B, Monika Kruse, Stephan Bodzin, Max Cooper, Umek, Carl Cox, Dubfire, John Acquaviva, Paco Osuna, Sebastien Leger, Fergie, Richie Hawtin, Tiesto, Mark Knight, Fatboy Slim and many others. He's the cocreator of well known and growing brands Frequenza Records, Ready 2 Rock and Frequenza Limited. So far, Nihil Young is releasing on labels such as Umek's 1605, John Acquaviva's Definitive Recordings. Fergie's Rekluse, King Street, Spektre's Respekt Recordings, Rusted Records, Craft Music by Great Stuff, Parquet, 3rd Wave, Alan Fitzpatrick's 8 Sided Dice, and of course his Frequenza labels.

Nihil Young's notable works include his debut single Bye Bye My Brain, - (inc. Ramon Tapia, Ahmet Sendil remixes) which topper #1 for 2 months on beatport's minimal chart - Doomed (inc. Gary Beck Remix), the release with Alex D’elia on Craft Music (inc. remixes by A.Mochi, now Figure artist, and Spektre) and his collaboration track with John Acquaviva and Alex D'elia - Good Music on Definitive Recordings, which topped beatport's techno top 5 for at least 4 months, nominated for Best Techno of 2011 at the BMA (Beatport Music Awards). The track MoogerFooger with Alex D'elia on Rusted Records (inc.
Mladen Tomic Remix) have seen a repeated support from Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, Mauro Picotto etc...

Earlier in 2010 his remixes for Spektre and D.Carbone topped the techno top 10 on the best digital/vinyl stores including beatport, getting support and attention from names like Pan-Pot, Sebastien Leger, Popof, Umek and more. Solid remixes were also produced for Sleaze Records (UK) for Matador (now M-nus artist) and Anderson Noise.

In the spring of 2012 Nihil Young is keeping himself busy developing his debut solo album which will probably see the light on Frequenza Records within 2012.
His previous collaboration album with Alex D'elia - Rave-O-Lution LP has received positive feedbacks all over the world and includes remixes from Lutzenkirchen, Jon Rundell, Electric Rescue, Alex Bau and more.
